Description

Once the greatest defender of mankind and lord over the entire Legion, Maliken walked too close to the darkness and was claimed by it. Now he is nothing more than a slave among the damned -- but his incredible might has only grown in his downfall. Wielding a damned sword fed by his own damned soul, Maliken is the bane of the very heroes he once led into battle.

Maliken is a strong initiator and late game damage dealer with a Sword Throw and Possession combo. Because Hellbourne Zeal makes Maliken attack faster as he loses health, playing Maliken requires the player to carefully manage his survival. A Shrunken Head will increase his survivability greatly.

Sword Throw [Q]

Maliken throws his sword, damaging enemies it hits. Maliken may teleport to his sword while it is in flight.

Target a position to throw your Sword in that direction. The Sword deals {80,140,200,260} Magic Damage and applies tapering {-20,-30,-40,-50}% Movement Speed to enemies it passes through.

Sword Throw may be activated while sword is in flight to teleport self to sword location.

Sword Throw is affected by Sword of the Damned.

Activate to teleport to the sword's current position.

Maliken teleports to his thrown sword.

Maimed:
Throws sword in target direction, damaging enemies in radius for {80,140,200,260} Magic Damage.

Any enemies hit by the sword have Maimed applied to them for 6 seconds.

Using this ability again while the sword is in mid-flight will teleport self to the sword's current location. Grants 700 day and night Clearvision while the sword is in flight.

Sword of the Damned [W]

Maliken's legendary weapon, the Sword of the Damned, is capable of two different attack modes: Enchanted Flames grants him increased damage at the cost of his own life, while Life Essence grants him very high life steal at the cost of reduced damage.

Grants two toggles.

Enchanted Flames: {15,30,45,60} Bonus Attack Damage but deals 15 Magic Damage to self on attack.
Life Essence: Heals self for {10,20,30,40} + {5}% of your Attack Damage per attack.

Grants {15,30,45,60} Bonus Attack Damage but receive 15 Magic Damage per attack. Causes Sword Throw to deal {40,50,60,70} extra Magic Damage to targets.

Toggle to switch to Life Essence, healing yourself per attack.

Heals self for Health equal to {10,20,30,40} + {5}% of your Attack Damage per attack. Causes Sword Throw to heal self for {10,20,30,40} Health per target hit, up to 300 Health.

Toggle to switch to Enchanted Flames, dealing bonus Damage per attack.

Toggle on to grant {12,24,36,48} Bonus Attack Damage but receive {4,8,12,16} Magic Damage per attack.

Causes Sword Throw to deal {40,50,60,70} extra Magic Damage to targets.

Toggle on to apply {-10,-20,-30,-40} Attack Damage but heal yourself for {10,20,30,40} Health per attack.

Decreases damage of Sword Throw by 40%, but causes it to heal self for {10,20,30,40} Health per target hit, up to 300 Health.

Enchanted Flames Effect(s):
Toggles on Enchanted Flames, de-toggles Life Essence.

Toggles on Life Essence, de-toggles Enchanted Flames.

Grants Maliken the ability to toggle on Enchanted Flames or Life Essence.

Hellbourne Zeal [E]

[ Passive ]

Maliken allows his wounds to fuel his rage, increasing his Attack Speed and Magic Armor based on how much Health he is missing.

Passively adds {0.5,1,1.5,2} Attack Speed and 0.1 Magic Armor for every 1% Health missing.

Possession [R]

[ Target Self ]

Maliken allows himself to become Possessed, transforming him into a full daemon temporarily. While in this form, Maliken's attack becomes ranged and his attacks splash.

Activate to consume 25% of your current Health to apply Possessed to self for 30 seconds, and apply a {1.5,1.75,2} second Fear to nearby enemy heroes.

Possessed grants a ranged splash attack.

Staff of the Master reduces the cooldown to 14 seconds.

Activate to exit Possession form.

Possessed Effect(s):
On use, consumes 25% of your current Health to apply Possessed to self for 30 seconds, and fear enemy heroes in a 400 radius for {1.5,1.75,2} seconds.

Applies Possessed to self for 30 seconds. Applies Feared to enemy heroes in a 400 radius for {1.5,1.75,2} seconds.

Hellbourne Possession*:
Activate to consume 25% of your current Health to apply Possessed to self for 30 seconds, and apply a {1.5,1.75,2} second Fear to nearby enemy heroes.

Possessed grants a ranged splash attack.

On use, applies Possessed to self until you use this ability again and fears enemy heroes in a 400 radius for {1.5,1.75,2} seconds.
